Villa magnifique, très agréable à vivre. Le chef cuisinier Georges a été aux petits soins ainsi que le personnel de maison et le chauffeur Akis qui nous a conseillé des restaurants, des visites.

This villa far exceeded our expectations.

Our family of six adults and four young children could not have enjoyed a better time at this high end villa. The location, standard of accommodation are all very good but it is the staff who make this a five star plus experience.

George the chef, delivered three exquisite meals per day to a very high standard. Truly five star. We were served upon by Constantina most of the time and she was fantastic going that extra mile if we requested anything.

Other staff cleaned our rooms daily and replaced the bathroom and pool towels. Anything we used in our own kitchen was cleaned daily although we only used it for making tea and coffee and preparing the baby food.

A surprise was a complimentary yoga session and also a personal trainer if we needed one.

Wi-Fi is fast and throughout the whole property. A washer with detergent and a dryer came in very handy.

I would not hesitate to return to this villa.

We stayed for a week at Villa1870 in of july 2022. We were 3 families in total 15 people with the age from 3 years old and up. We searched for a place where we could relax and spend as much time together as possible.

From booking, to arrival and the entire stay we were absolutely enjoying all of Villa1870! The luxury feeling of having all meals prepared, amazing staff and the opportunity to always go around the Island with the available chauffeur and included minivan. It´s a true 5 star experience and the staff is absolutely amazing and everything, housekeeping, food, personal trainer etc. is on the highest level and everything is possible to arrange.

We have decided to come back, as Villa1870 gives us the absolute best facilities to relax, enjoy and be together as a family and with nothing to think about! All the best recommendation from us in Denmark!

Our family of 10 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this fabulous restored Villa that overlooks the sea. Besides the gorgeous view, we were treated to 5 star quality meals every day. They also accommodated our daughter with her nut allergy making her special plates. Dimitris and his wife made us feel completely at home during our stay. Their private driver, Akis, was always helpful in finding the local spots to enjoy. We even enjoyed a workout with Marios during our time at the Villa. We did not want to leave this gorgeous place. We highly recommend this gem!

Our family has just enjoyed the perfect family holiday at Villa 1870. The combination of luxury accommodation and amazing staff made for one of the best trips we have ever been on and we will be sure to return.

From the moment we arrived at the airport Akis, our driver for the week, was great. Being such a friendly helpful person with lots of ideas made all the difference to our family. We really felt like we had our own tour guide.

The two chefs at the Villa are incredible and produced the most Delicious meals. I can’t express how good they are to be honest, adapting to all our needs. 3 children, 2 gluten free, 1 vegan and everyone else wanting everything! Every meal was one of those occasions where full to brim but just can’t stop eating!

We took full advantage of Mario, the Villa’s own PT who designed specific workouts for us, we needed it after all the amazing food!

What I love most about this Villa is that you really have all the advantages of a 5 star hotel, gourmet food, a chauffeur, a PT and friendly and caring house staff keeping everything looking great whilst in the comfort and privacy of your own Villa.

We spent a week at Villa 1870 as a group of 8 and had a wonderful time. The villa itself has been restored beautifully, and has great outdoor facilities with views over the sea. The service is what sets the place apart – the team prepared and served delicious meals (no problem at all catering for vegetarians and a baby), kept the place spotless and took us to some great beaches with personal recommendations. The location is also excellent – just a couple of minutes from shops and around 10 minutes to the Old Town. Overall, Dimitris and his team have created a really special place and we would definately return.

Amazing place to stay on Corfu! – We just returned from a wonderful stay at Villa 1870 on Corfu. The location is lovely overlooking the sea and very private though only a 10 minute drive from town. The owners, Dimitri and Nancy and all their staff were so warm and friendly. It felt like you were staying with good friends. They even arranged for us to go into town for the Easter procession and the « breaking of the pots » from a private balcony. Clearly, a great deal of thought and care went into the villa to ensure the comfort and enjoyment of those who stay there. The heated pool was large and cleaned daily. Details like a washer and dryer for your use and games, an electric piano and large TV in the lounge area all made the stay more enjoyable. We decided to have their chef prepare our breakfast and dinners which were excellent. I don’t think we could have eaten better in any restaurant. His service was included so we only paid for the ingredients which were purchased fresh every day after discussing with us what we would like. We were traveling with two vegetarians and a 7 year old and he came up with menus to please us all. You had a choice of indoor or outdoor dining. Alternatively, there is a full kitchen where you could prepare your own meals. Leftovers were placed in the kitchen refrigerator so you could snack on them later in the day or for lunch. There is a chauffeur driven van to pick you up at the airport, take you to the grocery store and take you around the island. Nancy and the driver, George would help us map out an itinerary for the day including stops for ice cream which delighted our grandson. Prior to arriving, Dimitris quickly answered all our questions and even arranged a Covid test on Easter Sunday for our return to the US. Overall, we can’t think of anything that could have made our stay better.

We had an amazing stay at Villa 1870. It is such a beautiful place and what is even more special is the hospitality of the owners and staff. We felt so pampered! The two chefs at the villa are absolutely brilliant; we felt so lucky to be indulging in such amazing, fresh, authentic Corfiot food – in fact we ate most of our dinners home for this reason (chefs are included and guests pay for ingredients which are shopped for daily)! In addition our driver Akis (whose services are also included with the villa) is a knowledgable guide, concierge, driver all rolled into one. Everything was organized for us so we could just relax and we had such a great time learning from him and exploring different parts of the island (without worrying about directions, parking etc.). Owners Nancy and Dimitris have obviously put their heart and soul into this place and it shows. Everything is beautiful, the restoration of this historic villa is top notch and it was the first time in a long time that we as a family have been able to truly relax. Watching the cruise ships depart each day, listening to the cicadas and the kids having a blast in the pool after a day of activity while enjoying a drink on the terrace with a view…it doesn’t get much better than this! A truly unique experience.I did not like….leaving!

It was a wonderful time: For the time being, of course, our dear hosts Dimitris and Nancy, but also our excellent chef Denis, our attentive, dear driver and companion Akis, our motivating fitness trainer Marius, the diligent and lovable Lana, but also the two very nice, reliable girls Michaela and Ilda contributed to an unforgettable stay! That was friendship and worth much more than five stars!

A lovely villa with a really gorgeous view of the sea – such a selling point! I like the “villa meets hotel service” idea and everybody was very friendly. The interiors look fresh and new, while maintaining a traditional homely feel. I liked that traditional Corfiot and Greek cuisine was on offer and the homemade jams and cakes are a really nice, personal touch. All in all, a really lovely property and a great stay. I can definitely see many stressed-out families being able to unwind and relax here.

The staff are truly what makes the place.  Just the loveliest group of people and they’ve all now got a very special place in my heart.   And having Akis – the driver – and the van was just brilliant.  That’s a huge plus for people – the local knowledge, the not having to drive – just a huge asset.  Plus the not having to cook!   I think the staff are a massive USP for the villa which really needs to be shouted about.
There are loads of villas people could hire, but to have the chef, driver, cleaning etc. is just amazing.

I have personally been to this gorgeous villa and would really recommend it to all.

Fabulous villa, great service.

We chose this villa at random, with no real previous knowledge of Corfu or this villa. The owner, Dimitris, has put a huge effort into making a special place to visit. Fully air-conditioned, great views, lovely pool – all as described. But the place is also spotless, and the services of the chef, who uses a detached professional kitchen, are a real cut above. We only left the villa to get wine (!), but Dimitris took us there in the minivan that is always at your disposal.

Can’t fault it.

Fabulous living space inside and outside the villa hosting, a luxury stay for our family. Comfortable beds viewing the sea. A private oasis for relaxation and recreation, furnished with hand-picked antiques even in the huge bathrooms. Extravagant outdoor living quarters with extensive private garden and a private swimming pool offered our family a slice of paradise. Delicious meals cooked by a talented chef by the pool viewing the sea. Unforgettable experience!!

Very nice villa. I had the chance to live there with my wife for a good week. The owners were fantastic. We really thought we were in a castle where it’s good to live in it. Excellent food and a great chef. A heated swimming pool at your disposal all day. Excellent Wifi service. A car at your disposal for your travels. Spacious rooms and a clean cleanliness of a 5-Star Hotel.
